Embroidered Landscapes by Anne Harrison Artist Embroidery   www.anneharrison.co.uk Fottpath thro' the corn Embroidered Landscapes My passion for walking in the English countryside through all seasons and the three-dimensional quality the combined use of watercolours/inks and hand/machine embroidery can bring to artwork is the inspiration behind my embroidered landscapes. Painting directly onto the canvas I begin to build up the image with the embroidery , highlighting texture onto the details of the landscape, including trees, hedgerows and flowers. Finally, I extend the embroidery onto and through the mountboard to give a feeling of continous perspective.
